SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:

 Responsible for the overall operation of the property and the day to day implementation of policies, procedures and programs that ensure a well-managed, well-maintained building and ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and federal, state and local laws.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Property Manager with proven expertise in affordable housing compliance to oversee all aspects of property operations. This leadership role is critical in ensuring regulatory excellence, operational efficiency, and an exceptional living experience for our residents.

  • Enforce compliance with property rules, regulations, lease agreements, and promptly document and report all lease violations.
  • Oversee accurate and timely processing of resident files from move-in through annual recertifications, ensuring adherence to strict regulatory standards.
  • Lead the full cycle of talent management, including recruiting, hiring, training, performance evaluations, and, when necessary, terminations.
  • Maintain full program compliance across HUD, TCAC, HOME, RHCP, CAL HFA, AHP, and other applicable regulatory programs.
  • Secure proper documentation, process certifications, and manage deposits and rent collection in alignment with program policies.
  • Drive resident satisfaction by ensuring prompt, courteous, and effective resolution of all service requests and complaints.
  • Oversee unit turnovers and maintenance requests, ensuring timely completion to maximize occupancy and minimize vacancy loss.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with minimum 2 years of management experience in affordable housing, including HUD and Tax Credit properties.
  • Proficient in HUD Section 8 and LIHTC program requirements with strong knowledge of regulatory compliance procedures.
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Boston Post software experience preferred.
  • Certification in HUD Compliance and Training strongly recommended.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities to meet critical deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities with a high level of professional integrity.
